From FDMWCL 2008 AGM - MINUTES:
The league competition will be re-named the:
“Blackwater Valley Twenty20”
New rule 7
“Deciding the league winners and presenting the trophy”
New rule 7a
“Where two or more teams finish with the same number of points at the end of the season the winner shall be:
i) the winner of the league match between the two teams in question,
or, if still undecided,
ii) the team with the most number of wins.”
New rule 7b
“All league matches must be completed no later than the day before the cup final. Furthermore, all results must be sent to the website by midnight on the day before the cup final. No results will be admissible after this date.”
New rule 7c
“Presentation of the trophy to the league winners will take place at the conclusion of the cup final.
The league strongly encourages all teams to be represented at the cup final.”
New rule 8
The existing rule 7 is re-numbered.
A change to the existing rule 5b was debated but retained
The meeting felt that the application of all rules is subjective and, therefore, the most important factor is consistent application. Whilst the meeting could appreciate the issue raised it felt that the substitution of one set of guidelines for another would not really address the issue.
Instead the meeting asked the committee to draw the attention of all teams to rule 1.
